Bush-style landscapes, built by hand on the Sunshine Coast.
Natives, Stone & Wood Landscapes is a family-run studio led by Jimi — designing and building considered native gardens across Noosa, the Hinterland and Gympie since 2010.
"Every project starts with the site itself — its slope, its trees, its outlook — and works with the land rather than against it."
Fifteen years shaping the land.
Jimi grew up between bushland and the coast, and the way native plants, stone and hardwood settle into a site has driven the studio from day one. What started as a two-person operation building sandstone walls in Kin Kin has grown into a full design-and-construction studio — but the craft-led approach hasn't changed.
Every project is led by Jimi personally, from the first site walk through to the final planting. We keep the team small and the standards high, and we only take on the projects we know we can do properly.
Bush-style gardens that belong to the site.
We design gardens that look like they've always been there — layered native planting, honest natural materials, and structures that echo the surrounding landscape. Nothing manicured, nothing imported that doesn't earn its place.
Local sandstone. Australian hardwoods. Grasses, groundcovers and canopy trees chosen for the soil and the seasons. The result is a garden that gets better every year, needs less input over time, and quietly supports the ecosystem it sits in.

Acreage is our natural habitat.
Most of our work is on acreage properties — the kind of blocks where the landscape has a personality of its own and the design has to work with it. Long driveways, sloped sites, established gum trees, dam edges, rainwater flow — these are the projects we love.
- Sloped and terraced sites
- Rural fire zone planting
- Dam and creek edges
- Driveway approach design
- Native windbreaks
- Wildlife corridors
Values that show up on every site.
We plant what belongs — species that thrive in local soils, feed local wildlife and need almost no water once established.
Clear scopes, honest quotes, no surprises. The vast majority of our work comes from repeat clients and referrals.
Hand-set stone, hardwood joinery and considered planting. We build things properly the first time.
Every design starts with the site — its slope, its trees, its outlook — and works with the land rather than against it.
